Torresol Energy, result of the Alliance between SENER Engineering group S.A. (60e %) y MASDAR (40%), alternative Enterprise company from Abu Dhabi. The organization have as one of its objectives, to develop the solar energy through inversions in efficient and financial solar concentration plants and, in this way, to become one of the pioneers o f the new technologies thermo solar, decreasing the cost of the future plants and acquiring the maximum operational efficiency.
Torresol Energy Company is based with the objective to promote the technological development, construction, operation, and the maintenance of great plants of solar energy by concentration (CSP, Solar Concentrating Power) anywhere in the world.
Also, in each new project, this company provides new technologies with the purpose of turning this energy a viable alternative, economically competitive, and ecological compared to the traditional energies. It centers its performance in the development, operation and maintenance of plants in the south of Europe, North Africa, the Middle East and southwest of the United States.
The high growth experienced by the company, with a staff of near 130 people, has brought out the Torresol general manager to consider the necessity to approach a series of initiatives designed to the definition and standardization of the operative either of the corporation or the operational part, that allows them among other things, to establish the service levels and operative competitions between them and in this way to increase the efficiency and effectiveness in the management.
The Project general objective was the formulation of a “process model”, through it was obtained a greater homogenisation and business visibility (either corporative or operational) through its structuration and formulation in processes, a more quickly and effective of business staff, thanks the processes portal.
In order to carry out the project and, to allow to fill the objective to implement the “Processes Model Director”, the organization needed to lean in technological tools that allowed a flexible and fast implantation. So, a Benchmarking of the main solutions of the market related to Business Process Analyse (BPA) was made, being selected tool ADONIS of the company BOC.
